Clarisonic Massage Device Review

Posted on November 16, 2017

Impulse purchase.

2 little words that have gotten me into a bit of trouble in the past.

I mean seriously, I wish my impulse purchase was a pack of gum while waiting in the check-out aisle.

It’s more like a $350 facial device that I’ve never heard of before but because the the ladies in front me were raving about it, I just HAD to have it. And I just couldn’t imagine my life without it.

Sound familiar?

Let me back up…

During my recent trip to Korea, I stopped by the duty free shops at Inchon airport. I always arrive at the airport way early to give myself ample time to browse the duty free shops. There are some great deals/products at the duty free stops in Inchon airport.  It’s literally the hottest airport.

So there I was patiently waiting in the check out line to purchase my “must haves” of sheet masks, lip tints and air cushions when I noticed the 2 ladies in front of me had multiple boxes of the Clarisonic Smart Facial Massager. I own/use the Clarisonic Mia cleansing brush but I’ve not heard of this massager before.

Well I couldn’t help overhear the 2 ladies as they raved about it and was purchasing it for their daughter and friends because it was cheaper at the duty free compared to retail.

The first lady seemed a bit older in her 40’s (maybe?) and she mentioned how it helped with her fine lines and lifting of her sagging face. The second lady looked like she was in her late 20s and she raved about it because it depuffed her face every morning.

Did I hear depuff?

So of course, as nosy as I am. I struck up on a conversation with the ladies while in line. I asked about this massager and they gave me the deets. And it’s 2 random ladies and not some sales associate on commission trying to sell me needless products.

I felt a bond with these two ladies. LOL

It has now been 2 full months since I’ve been using my “impulse purchase” massager and I couldn’t be happier. It’s done wonders for my face/neck.

So what exactly is this thing?

It’s a rubbery triangular head, called the Clarisonic Smart Profile Uplift 2-in-1 Cleansing & Micro-Firming Massage Device, that you can pop onto any  Clarisonic Smart Profile. It’s not compatible with the Mia. But that’s fine because I use the Mia to cleanse my face and the Smart Profile to massage my face.

When you flip it on, the triangle starts pulsing. There are 4 different speeds and of course I use the highest. I run it over my cheekbones, jawline, forehead, around my eyes, neck and below my chin line (where you tend to develop a double chin). I glide over each area in an outward and upward motion.

And it feels AMAZING.

I feel like I’m getting a facial massage.

After a week of use, my face looked glower and my cheeks a little perkier.

And this isn’t just made up in my pretty little head!

My dermatologist friend told me that the mechanical stimulation can increase circulation and muscle contraction to give the face a temporary lifting effect.

More importantly, it gives me natural contour. It debloats my face like I just had a lymphatic drainage face massage. This is HUGE because those of you that know me, know that I tend to get puffy on my face easily.

I’ve been using this device daily for the past 2 months and I really can’t imagine my life without it. Like how did I survive without this all these years?

So needless to say, it was a great impulse purchase.

I’ve been using the Clarisonic Smart Profile Massage Device in the PM and my Nuface in the AM and these two combination has done my skin wonders. I haven’t lost weight but I’ve been getting comments that I have. And it’s mainly because my face is perkier and smaller. Win. Win.
